Things to do this Half Term
Half term is almost upon us, but the question begs: what do you do with kids? Of course, the kids want lots of fun-filled things to keep them occupied in their week off, but where do you start?
Well ponder no longer! Here at The Bath Arms we’ve got a handful of exciting (and spooky!) events to keep the kids happy this October half term…
This year at Longleat, enter into the Halloween spirit with a truly spooky experience. Taking place throughout October half term, you can enjoy creepy ghost tours of Longleat House as well as a spine-tingling scarecrow trail, a ghoulish ghost train, a scary skeleton maze, and even some spooktacular Halloween shows. On top of all of this, kids will be able to experience Dracula’s ‘Bat Cave’ and an exciting Trick or Treat trail if you manage to solve the trail you could be in for a tasty reward… As one of the most convenient places to stay near Longleat, The Bath Arms provides the perfect local base for a spot of Longleat fun!
Ok, so this one is not strictly in Wiltshire, but it is extremely close in nearby Frome and a good one for those that aren’t feeling the Halloween vibe! On Sunday 23rd October, kids and grown-ups alike will be able to enjoy a fun filled day of apple pressing (for the little ones), cheese and cider tasting (for the big ones) and lots of other music, food and apple related fun! Entry is free and the event runs from 10am until 11pm, so it’s the perfect way to while away a chilled out Sunday.
Spooky Stories at Warminster Library
From 2pm-3pm on 29th October, Warminster Library will be transformed into a creepy cavern for the telling of (fairly) terrifying tales. Complete with creepy crafts, ghoulish games and tales by torchlight, this free event is suitable for children aged 4 – 11 (though a hand to hold may be required!) and your biggest and best fancy dress is most definitely welcome.
From 8pm on 29th October, The Bath Arms will be hosting their very petrifying party! We’d love to see you in your most frightening frocks and fictitious face paint ready to get stuck into some Halloween fun. This is the perfect way to round off a week of half term shenanigans and we can’t wait to see you there!
