I stayed at this hotel for 4 days after a previous stay in 2010. I found the food good and the staff and service excelllent. The staff were without exception friendly and helpful. I would have no hesitation in either recommending a stay to others or staying here again.

Fantastic - We stayed here for one night after visiting the safari park at longleat, i was gutted that we didnt stay more than one night! After reading the reviews i was a little worried about where we would end up but we couldnt have been more pleased. We stayed in the peacock room, what a stunning room. Although its worn it had a lively charm with a massive bed and a fantastic roll top bath. Would deffinatley reccomend if you are looking at taking a romantic trip. We did not have much interaction with the staff, but the interaction we did have was brilliant. We are hoping to visit again soon. I think people will either love this place for the quirkiness or hate it for it ununiformity!

Home comforts with a twist - We booked this hotel at the last minute on a late availability deal and were lucky enough to get an upgrade too in the deal.nice big clean relxing room with a huge bath and nice quality complimentary teas coffees and toiletries to boot.extremely comfortable bed and total peace and quiet.as for the location this is fab and why else would you stay anywhere else if visiting longleat as you are virtually on the estate at the lodge entrance so no travel required after a long day of longleating!food was fab if not a little over priced in the restaurant but worth it for the ease of the stay-i think next time perhaps i will just have the bar menu.great wine list and champagnes etc a little tattty chic would perhaps best describe the vibe!all in all a great place to relax.

Perfect Weekend Getaway - I wasn't sure what to expect after reading some of the reviews before staying at The Bath Arms but I didn't have anything to worry about! Check in was at the bar and we were shown to our room quickly by a friendly member of staff. The room was quaint and had a cosy feel to it as did the whole hotel. We made our way down to dinner and sat at the bar with a glass of wine until we were shown into the restaurant. The service by all staff was fantastic, they were friendly & attentive. We had food from the a la carte menu & the game menu. The food was perfect, the wine was good, the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere to it with low lighting and the christmas tree lights glistening. After dinner we went through to the bar again to finish our wine and were given popping candy chocolate petit fours and some elderflower vodka, there were little bottles in your room which you could take home too!

Breakfast in the morning was great, had a wide choice of juices, pastries and cereal which you helped yourself to and then ordered from the breakfast menu. We had eggs royale and a full English - both were yummy!

The hotel is set in the beautiful surroundings of Longleat, perfect for a long walk followed by a warm cider next to the open fire back at the hotel!

The only downside was that our shower didn't have much pressure so washing my hair took a very long time! But this is the only thing that could be faulted whilst staying at The Bath Arms.

We stayed here for 1 night before visiting Longleat Safari. Check in was great was shown to our room which was oriental theme was beautiful and had more then expected in the room e.g. complimentary vodka kettle coffee tea bicuits etc..

Went to restaurant for dinner I had 2 courses my partner 3. He said the beef was amazing - one of the best he had ever tasted - and extra sides were very generous portions. And when our little one got bit too grumpy, we asked if we could have dessert delivered to our room and they did this with no problems.

Breakfast was great with plenty of choice!

We loved the hotel and it was in a great location as it was only a short drive to the safari park.

Quirky, charming & delightful
Check in is at the bar area and we were handed our key with a huge wooden pig attached... this was the sign of things to come. We stayed in the Kama Sutra room which was an unexpected surprise with it's gorgeous Indian furnishings and carvings. After tasting the delicious complimentary Elderflower Vodka we headed back downstairs for a bite to eat trying some of the fabulous local cheese, meats and beer. The room was comfortable, warm and the wallpaper in the bathroom interesting to say the least! The only downside was the family room above which meant that our sleep ended abruptly at 5am when the children started running around, but when we mentioned it to the landlady upon checkout she was incredibly gracious and gave us a reduction on our bill. The breakfast was amazing and there was a great choice. We will definitely be back to try some of the other rooms. The big wooden doors, winding staircases, unusual pictures and light fittings made me feel like I had stepped into a fairytale. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Overall, a delight. A great place for a weekend away!

2nd trip and not the last hopefully
We have just returned from our 2nd trip to the Bath Arms. Again we had a gorgeous room with fantastic facilities. The food was fabulous, pheasant from the game menu. The service was excellent from check in to check out. A special mention to Jamie who greeted us on our arrival and remembered us from our last visit 3 years ago. He greeted us, took us to our room, served us at the bar and then came into the restaurant to check that everything was fine with our evening meal. The inclusion of admittance to Longleat in the cost is a brilliant bonus. We loved our stay and would love to return soon.
Room Tip: the rooms all exude "quirky elegance". Be guided by the staff as they know their hotel and want you to enjoy your stay.

Well what can I say! As I didn't even know I was spending the weekend away it was a long trip from Manchester but when we got there the outside was lovely. We checked in and were taken to our room the Peacock Room and what can I say but amazing! We unpacked and went down for dinner the food was perfect and the staff were very helpful even when I ordered the prawns and they came with heads and were looking at me :) they kindly swapped them for something else. So all in all I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Can't wait to see the staff and the locals we meet on our stay again.

Recently stayed here for a two night break. Arrived at 6pm and went into the bar area to check in. Dealt with speedily and shown to our room by a friendly young man who was chatty and informative. We booked a table in the bar but were limited to times as they were busy but the food was high quality and the atmosphere bustling.
The following night we ate in the restaurant, more expensive but less rushed, food is of high quality and service good. Nice choice at breakfast, would definitely stay here again, all staff very friendly and efficient

We stayed here in the Raja room for one night and had the most lovely time. The Raja room is a Deluxe room and is absolutely beautiful. It was a huge room with a lovely four poster bed and large bathroom - we loved the decor and the beautiful bedlinen. We had our one year old daughter with us and they had set up the travel cot with linen for our arrival.
The staff couldn't have been more friendly and the lady who showed us round our room was lovely. We ate in the restaurant that evening and thought the food and service was fantastic. We thought the pre-dinner seasonal cocktail (prosecco and elderflower vodka) was a lovely touch, as well as the post-dinner truffles (with popping candy inside!) and a shot of elderflower vodka. The atmosphere in the restaurant was cosy and warm.
Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely return.

Traveled down from Uxbridge to find a real secluded location.Spent one night in the Sparrow suite and was wonderfully surprised. The staff were very friendly and courteous, food was alright, but best of all was the fun and laughter we had with all the Irish guys in the bar, they were absolutely wonderful. Would recommend this place to my friends if only to have the banter with," Happy" and the gang, truly wonderful.
